Peugeot took the 405 into production in 1987. It was made as a 4-door Saloon. The Peugeot 405 was built with these engines: The more entry-level 405 (the GLX D 1.9) came with a 1.9 71 bhp combustion engine, while the best performing version, the T-16, had a turbine powered 4-cylinder 2 internal-combustion engine generating up to 200 bhp.
