Kia took the Cerato into production in 2004. The fabrication was stopped in 2008. The Kia Cerato was available with several engine configurations: The most economic Cerato, the 1.6 CRDi VGT LX, came with a 1.6 115 bhp internal-combustion engine. The high-end version, the 2.0 CVVT EX, had a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder 2 engine generating up to 143 bhp. It was sold as both a Hatchback or Saloon which was made as a version with 4 or 5 doors.
